Description

The SCA Barista Skills Professional Course is a comprehensive program designed to enhance the skills and knowledge of experienced baristas in the specialty coffee industry. This course goes beyond the fundamentals of espresso extraction and milk steaming, diving deep into advanced techniques, sensory development, and customer service. Participants will gain the expertise needed to excel in their roles and become leaders in the field. 

Upon completion of the SCA Barista Skills Professional Course, participants will be able to:

  •  Demonstrate mastery in espresso extraction, including dialing in grind size, dose, and extraction time.
  • Utilize advanced techniques such as alternative brewing methods (e.g., AeroPress, V60) and latte art.
  • Identify and troubleshoot espresso-related issues, ensuring consistent quality.
  • Apply sensory evaluation techniques to assess coffee quality and identify flavor profiles.
  • Understand the importance of customer service and effectively communicate with customers.
  • Comprehend the basics of coffee roasting and its impact on espresso flavor.

Prerequisites: SCA Barista Skills Intermediate Course

Duration: 8 hours

All participants will receive a SCA Barista Skills Professional Course certificate upon successful completion
